ADHERENT MEMBERS

Adhesion conditions

According to the Statutes (art. 7), the Board of Directors can entrust the quality of "adherent member" to :

companies or institutions which wish to take part in the activities of standardization of the BEC;
administrations, public services, university faculties, professional organizations, groupings or institutions which ensure a significant contribution to the activities of standardization of the BEC, or their representatives;
people who are expert in one of the fields examined by the BEC.

Annual contribution

The adherent members pay an annual contribution which is fixed by the General Assembly, on a proposal from the Board of Directors :

The payment of an annual contribution of 8.929,80 EUR (intervention valid in 2004, revisable as from 2005 by decision of the Board of Directors), gives the right to an affiliation of type A :

a mandate within the Council Board;
a mandate within the "Comité de Gestion Technique de Normalisation" (GTN);
a participation to the activities and possible votes within maximum 10 BEC committees, and access to the related work documents, included the drafts of standards (Belgian, European or International), studied by the concerning committees;

The payment of an annual contribution of 1.470,88 EUR plus 446,90 EUR per committee (intervention valid in 2004, revisable as from 2005 by decision of the Board of Directors), gives the right to an affiliation of type B :

participation to the activities and possible votes within the related committees, also access to related work documents, included the drafts of standards (Belgian, European or International)studied by the concerned committees.

The payment of an annual contribution of 446,90 EUR plus 157,85 EUR per committee (intervention valid in 2004, revisable as from 2005 by decision of the Board of Directors), gives the right to an affiliation of type C :

access to work documents of the concerned committees, included the drafts of standards (Belgian, European or International), studied by the concerned committees.

All indicated amounts for membership will be increased by the legally imposed TVA of 21%.

The Board of Directors can admit certain persons, organizations, associations or institutions as "adherent members" A or B, for a reduced financial contribution or without any contribution, provided that these persons or entities ensure a significant scientific, technical or legal contribution to the preparation of documents or positions, or also by their implication in the legal work related to this domain.

N.B. : For the persons or companies which are already members of AGORIA, FPE or FEE, is the inscription as adherent member of type B or C in principe free and is done by recommandation of one of the three precited organizations whereto they are affiliated.
