The purpose of ES 59005 is to specify the measurement and numerical modelling requirements for testing compliance of Mobile Telecommunication Equipment (MTE) in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 6 GHz with the basic restrictions in terms of specific absorption rate (SAR) resulting of such exposure. The SAR values considered in this document are those of the ENV 50166-2 (ENV 1995) and the ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection) Guidelines (ICNIRP, 1998).
